πΎ My name is Ashley and I am the proud business owner of Custom Paws Pet Resort & Spa.
I graduated from Oldham County in '09 and continued my education at Spalding University studying Business Management and Psychology.
I have had a passion and love for fur babies since I can remember. Growing up around horses, cattle, turtles, mice, dogs, cats... you name it! I have always wanted to work with animals and when I had the opportunity to fulfill this dream I decided it was time to rock it!
In 2017, I received my Professional Pet Groomers Certification. After just a few weeks in the grooming industry I knew this was my calling. Being able to work with animals was a dream come true. I have five pups, three are rescues and all of them are considered "aggressive breeds". Shortly after I started my career as a Pet Groomer, I realized that not all pups were able to receive the proper care they need and deserve based on breed, weight, age, aggression, special needs etc.
In 2019, I decided to step up and fill this necessity by opening the first and only Grooming Salon that Specializes with Aggressive, High Anxiety and Special Needs fur babies. Providing a safe, loving and professional atmosphere for ALL paws. Shortly after opening, I added a couple of true animal lovers, like myself, to join the CP Grooming Team, who have truly seen my vision from the start and have helped tremendously along Custom Paws' journey!
In Oct 2020, I reached the next tier, with over 10,000 hours of all breed experience, while continuing education and acquiring certifications each year for myself as well as the CP Team. This includes, FearFree, AKCSafe and CPR certification.
March 2022 we expanded to our new location, providing additional all FUN Inclusive Luxury Services, Boarding and DayStay! To have reached this point has been a dream come true! I truly love what I do (it's a life style) and look forward to many more years providing exceptional services to our communities fur babies!

πΎ Kelsey received her Pet Grooming Certification in 2020 here at CP and has absolutely out done herself!
Throughout her four + years she has shown a true talent and continues to hone her skills. She has an unmatched love for fur babies and is thrilled she chose this career path. CP is so proud to have this young lady a part of our Team! She loves coaching, swimming, boating, anything that involves her two daughters, son, partner and Oakley (their Dotson).
Kelsey knew she had a passion for animals at a young age growing up with pups, cats and working with FFA. She previously was an assistant vet tech before her interest in becoming a pet groomer. Her favorite part of working with animals is being able to watch the fur babies transformations and being a part of the process.
Kelsey embraces each experience with our clients, customizing to each fur baby. She love's sending home a freshly coiffed pet! The extra kisses are a bonus! π

Cassy has grown up with numerous different species of animals and that sparked her interest into working with them! She's had parrots, snakes, ferrets, dogs, cats, chameleons, bearded dragons, turtles, raccoons, rabbits, you name it! The different instincts, and ways different animals play and interact has always intrigued her. Cassys goal is to meet, get to know, and learn about as many animals as possible! π
She enjoys observing and learning how mannerisms differ and relate between each dog, and how common specific traits are to one breed. Each dog has a unique personality and she finds it exciting to learn about each one. Taking awkward goofy pictures of pups is a bonus! π
Her favorite hobbies includes drawling, reading, writing, or researching different subjects outside of work. She enjoys hiking up hills and near river beds, hanging out with friends, shopping, taking walks, and stargazing: itβs very pretty and peaceful βοΈ
